First impressions of edddison at Autodesk University 2013

AU 2013 Autodesk University

Every year at the beginning of December AU takes place in Las Vegas. This year at the strange Venetian Hotel. Strange from my perspective, seeing as I grew up 250 miles from the real Venetian.

The AU slogan is to learn from experts, get connected, and see the future.

We packed our bags and took the trip 6,000 miles to Las Vegas to show 7,000 attendees the brand new edddison solution. AU is a unique opportunity to meet an international community of architects, engineers, designers, and industrial and technological leaders at one place.

As Autodesk says on its website. Meet and talk with AU exhibitors. Come to the AU Exhibit Hall to try out new products; talk with hardware, software, and service vendors; and get answers from Autodesk employees. Experience the Gallery at AU, featuring products and technologies created by Autodesk customers. Connect with peers at evening receptions.

Exhibiting in the exhibition hall was ideal because it is perfect for presenting products and services in front of consumers and early adopters.

The photos below show a Navisworks scene controlled by an iPad and an edddison projection table. The second setup shows a SketchUp file controlled by a webcam, a 3D printed object, a 23 inch touchscreen and a Nexus 7 Android tablet.

AU is over, but you can still watch, read and listen to classrooms online at http://au.autodesk.com/
